Running five years strong, this run, co-led by Linda and Mike, represents Northeast Queens.
They are a tight knit crew, and refer to themselves as the Flushing Family. They celebrate community birthdays, major races, and other life events. They are truly inspired by and supportive of all runners and have had several expecting and new mamas participate!
The park has transformed over the years, most notably when the pond was reconstructed and then completed in 2023.
The route starts and ends at Starbucks, and features rolling hills to and from Bowne park and 3 loops that are moderately flat circling the park, totaling a true 5k.
The location is convenient for drivers as there is parking lot and bus service is only steps away from the start.
